the heading message and typography promote the omo product by its wuality and hoe well it is made.

the costume is presented as a cleaners outfit, the make looks like a 1950s makeover, and the placement of the model is her putting her clothes to dry on the clothe hanger.

5) Why is a picture of the product added to the bottom right of the advert?


it's added there because for people who dosen't know what the omo washing up liquid looks like in real life.

6) What are the connotations of the chosen colours in this advert?


the colour scheme looks natural because of the colours red, brown, green, blue  and yellow.

7) How does the anchorage text use persuasive language to encourage the audience to buy the product? Give examples.

Advertising key conventions

1) What key conventions of an advert can you find and what are the connotations of each one?

I can see the conventions of slogan, central image, backround and logo of coca cola.

2) For each convention, write about how this appeals to a target audience. 

The slogan 'The original taste of christmas' and 'Taste the Feeling' it appeals to the target audience who likes the original taste of the coca cola drink.

The logo coca cola appeals to the target audience who likes sans-serif typography style.

3) What is the USP (unique selling point) of the product and how do you know?

USP of the product coca cola is taste testing and i know this because we can clearly see in this advert that santa claus is drinking the cola.

Introduction - Tatler Media pack

1) Look at the Tatler Media Pack. Go to page 2: how does the editor introduce the magazine?


The editor introduces the magazine by targeting the richest people in the country who love to shop.


2) Now go to page 4 of the Media Pack. Focus on the print magazine (NOT tatler.com - the website). List the key demographic details: age, gender %, ABC1 % (social class), HHI (Household Income), % of those living in London and the South East. What do these demographic details suggest about the average Tatler reader?

The preferred and oppositional reading of the Tatler magazine would be the rich people deny that this is a magazine for the upper class.

Social and cultural context

1) What aspects of British life or people are NOT reflected in Tatler? (Watch the clip above again if you need help with this - the clue is in the title 'Posh People')


the aspects of British life is that they like to buy jewlery to make them selfs look more fashionable in their daily lifes.

it represents in the life of Britain by helping them in their lifes to make it easier for them.
